Photo Art Friday...Architecture...

Rooftops of Cartegena, Columbia.

Last year, we took a cruise to the
Panama Canal.
One port of call, was Cartegena, Columbia.

Cartegena is an old, walled city.  It was interesting, seeing all the old buildings...the people on the streets and a whole different way of life.

This photo was taken on the way back to the ship.  Churches...the dome of a guard house on the old city wall, and a tiled roof of an old building.

It's textured with two layers of PPDA Grunge Surprise texture...
once @ overlay & once @ multiply 43%.

  1. Now I am totally convinced I need to start learning how to do this. I know what I will be experimenting with this weekend. Thanks for the inspiration!!

  2. A beautiful use of texture and editing skills, Linda! You've made your photo really look like a piece of art. Thank you for sharing your work with Photo Art Friday.

  3. So pretty and artistic. I really like this.

  4. very pretty picture and the editing is perfect. I really like the effect the texture has over the bright blue sky!

  5. I love the textures and the color in this image - you gave it such a vintage look! The edging is cool too - really adds to the effect.

  6. Linda, great photo and your rendering is fantastic!

  7. Love this shot and and the mood of these old cities. That must have been a really fun cruise!

  8. Wonderful effects you applied to an already interesting shot. It looks like a watercolour painting. Your choice of textures really added interest to the sky and borders.
