Texture Tuesday...Free & Easy Edition...

Texture Tuesday again....the last one of the month.
Where did the summer go?

This week is Free and Easy...means anything goes.

Morning light coming through the leaves on the hyacinth bean, make those leaves glow.
I added one of Kim's textures, 'Serious Magic'.
It made it even more dramatic.

Be sure to hop over to Kim's, to see more texture work and great photos.

Texture Tuesday...Dreamit Edition...

This week for

we were asked to submit any photo and use at least one layer of
Kim's texture 'Dream-It'.

So, here we are.  A nice little wren posing for us.

It worked out to save this photo.

As you can see, the background was pretty blown out.

Be sure to click on the link above, to see more great texture work.

Photo Art Friday....Containers Edition...

It's Friday.
Must be

Photo Art Friday

This week's prompt is CONTAINERS.

These barrels, at Sister Creek Winery, in Sisterdale, Texas, fill the bill.

It's a small winery.  But, they produce good wines.

I textured these with two layers of Bonnie's Pixel Dust texture
'Linen Blind'.

Be sure to hop over to Pixel Dust Photo Art , and see some good photo art.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday...August 12, 2012...

Sunday again.  Time for

These are fun....trying to figure out mine, and seeing how others translate the prompts.

This week's prompts are:
Hanging by a Thread
Always look on the Bright Side

Is there anything more MOBILE than five and six year olds playing soccer?

Hanging by a thread.
a string of fish.  string/thread.  close.

Always look on the bright side.
Morning light glinting off bubbling water.

Things blooming in my garden.

We hung this bird HOME in the spring.
A wren made a nest inside, by never moved in.
It's back on the market.

Hope you enjoyed this week's Hunt.

Texture Tuesday...August 7, 2012...Anything Goes...

This week for Texture Tuesday, we can submit any photo....doesn't have to have a texture.

Since I forgot....again...to write down what I did to this one,
it works for me.

So, here goes.

This little guy was having a lot of fun getting nectar from the hyacinth bean.
These are fast little creatures.  Hard to get a good shot.

I think I used some of Kim's textures...but, I just don't remember....sigh.

Hop over to Kim Klassen's place, and see some great photos.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday....August 5, 2012...

Here we are again at
Ashley Sisk's

So here we go....

Going back in time.

Back again to the San Antonio Mission Trail, and San Jose Mission.
Back to the 1700s, is going back in time.

Something just for me.

On our Panama Canal cruise last year, our group would meet every evening for a drink before dinner.
I had the martinis...with 'free' glass.  This one was the best....Key Lime.  Yum.

Best part of my day.

We sit on the porch every evening.  It's relaxing, and I have this lovely view.

Night & day.

Day is done....gone's the sun.

Look up.

I don't know what this little guy is looking at.  Maybe he's just planning his next move.

Hope you enjoyed this week's Hunt.

Be sure to click the link at the top and go to Ashley's site for more Hunts.

Photo Art Friday...Doors...

Wow!  Photo Art Friday...again...already.
Time flies.

This week, the prompt is 'DOORS'.

I used this door to one of the apartments/barracks at
San Jose Mission
in San Antonio.

I used a watercolor filter in PSE.
Then I added two of Bonnie's Pixel Dust textures:
'Painterly' @ multiply 64%
'Yesteryear' @ soft light 100%.

Thanks Bonnie, for the textures and for hosting
Photo Art Friday
