Catching Up....Again...

'Porch Lights'

Some of these went out, right after this shot.
The new LED ones we got, won't hold the covers.
It's always something.

'Still some life in there'

This winter did a real job, on a lot of our plants.
Maybe this pot on the front porch will recover.

Sometimes, you get to the end of the day, and remember you don't
have a photo for that day.
So...last minute shot of noodles cooking.

'Another New Feeder'

'I've Called This Meeting'

Fun to see so many different birds at once.

'Such a Pretty Face'

Playing with the new camera.
I really need to use it more.

'Someday Spring Will Come'

And, I can stop carrying these in and out of the garage,
and plant them in the ground.

'Building a New World...
That's what he said'

When I asked, what game he was playing on his computer.
He's too young to realize that's really probably what he'll do...
what ALL children do.

OK....caught up with the
Project 365.

Sunset in the Lantern

'Sunset in the Lantern'

This is an oil lamp on the porch.
Nice reflection of the setting sun.

FINALLY using the new camera.
Using the kit lens.
It'll take a while to get used to this.

Driveway Reflections...

 'Driveway Reflections'

We had a little rain.  We had a little hail.  We had a little sleet.
But, we didn't have any ice.

Trees reflected in the driveway puddles.

Hey There, Titmouse....

'Hey there, Titmouse'

Sunny day...cold, but sunny.
Went out to see what photo I could get.

We have a fountain, on the back porch.
As I was standing there, a Titmouse came for a drink,
not three feet from me.

He didn't seem to see me move slowly, to get a shot.

They're usually very shy little birds.

Warm With a Chance for Sleet....

'Warm with a chance for Sleet'

The day dawned warm and humid....72F.

By afternoon, it was raining and the temperature was headed down.

The day ended at 25F.

No sleet.....yet.

This has been a crazy winter.

Textured with Kim Klassen's 'Partings'.

Foggy Morn

'Foggy Morn'

First day of March.
The fog really set in, and it was warm.

Cold weather is on its way, though.

Another beautiful day, here.
I spent most of the day outside, working in the garden.

While resting, I noticed this Red Admiral, sunning himself on
a small terra cotta lantern.

It really felt like Spring had arrived.
But, Winter is due back again, soon.
