Photo Art Friday...Painterly Edition....

This week, for Photo Art Friday,

we have the 'Painterly' Edition.

I did this one a while back, but thought it would fit the theme this week.

I cropped it and cloned out some of the background.

Then I used two layers of Bonnie's 'Serve Life' texture...

one @ normal, 60%

& one @ multiply 60%.

Then, I masked the texture off the dove and some off the fence post.

Texture Tuesday....Floral Beauty...

The Theme for this week's Texture Tuesday is 

flowers.

I took this photo of a Gomphrena 'Fireworks' bloom,

and turned it into something calmer.

I used two layers of Kim's 'Oh My' texture...one @ softlight & one @ screen.

Then a layer of her 'Luminous' @ multiply.

I masked the textures off the flower, and then desaturated it all.  Then, I added a frame from Photoscape.

I think I like it.

I don't seem to have saved the original.  But, here's another picture of the same plant.

A Rose is a Rose...

Recently, we took a drive down to the 

San Antonio Botanical Gardens.

They have a lovely Rose Garden.

I was lucky enough to get this shot.

Above is SOOC.

Here, I added one of Kim Klassen's textures...'Oh My'....and masked away some of the
texture on the rose.

It was a beautiful day, surrounded by beautiful flowers.

is 'vintage'.

I've had this in a file for a while, and can't seem to find any notes to tell me what I used.

I do know this uses a Coffeeshop vintage frame.

I'll try to do better with notes, next time.

Happiness....

Happiness is living in a place that you love.

Happiness is the theme for this week's Texture Tuesday.

I used a watercolor filter in PSE.
The texture I used is Friday, from Kim Klassen....sorry, I forgot to write down the recipe.

Golden...

These Golden Front Woodpeckers are everywhere here.

Who knew they had a sweet tooth?  They love the Hummingbird feeders.

I used a layer mask on all layers, to remove texture and de-saturation, and get a truer view of the woodpecker.

Update:

I forgot to add the 'before' picture.  Here she is.  This is a female.  The males have a red spot, on the top of their heads.  They're both loud.
